Milos is the5th largest island of the Cyclades, at the southwestern edge of them.
It has a population of more than 5.000 people. Adamas is the main port of Milos while Pollonia is a smaller one (used mainly for the connection with the island of Kimolos). Plaka is the capital of the island (consisting of two settlements: Plaka and Plakes), which along with Triovasalos, Pera Triovasalos and Trypiti are built on a hill above Adamas.
Milos is the island where the Aphrodite of Milos was discovered, the most impressive island of the Cyclades. Due to the volcanic rocks beaches are tinted red, pink, or orange! Sarakiniko and Kleftiko with their white rocks, green waters and caves narrate stories about pirates.The catacombs, the exotic beaches, the colorful Klima, Empourios and Mandrakia with the cave buildings for the boats, the sunset at Plaka, make Milos one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
